Nintendo recently announced a friendly online competition for fans and family in the excellent Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Switch system. The challenges are called the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Holiday Fun Run and they are free to join and participate in. Your skill level doesn’t really matter as it is a casual competition and the Holiday Fun Run is running now until 31st December. To join you just need a Nintendo Switch Online membership, which you can get free for 7 days from either the Switch dashboard or via My Nintendo.com. How to participate:
1. Make sure to have a Nintendo Switch Online membership or Free 7-day trial
2. Select Online Play from the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe menu screen, then select Tournament
3. Select Search by Code
4. Enter the 12-digit code 3126-5511-1723
5. Select Join
